Reverse engineering
Reverse engineering, i.e. the tracing of existing objects, surfaces and points and turning them into a CAD data model, is often the only practicable way of producing optimised moulds or incorporating the existing models of our customers into the composites process chain.
Hahlbrock employs a highly accurate 3D coordinate measuring system for this task in production and quality control.
The "FARO® Arm", an articulated measuring device used in many branches of modern manufacturing, permits the fast scanning of any surfaces, edges and points on an object.
Owing to its portability, this measuring device can be simply connected to a notebook equipped with the necessary software and used for measuring tasks on the customer's premises as well. This means it is possible to measure, for example, complex enclosing surfaces for bespoke machine housings or to digitise existing large moulds.
