Shenyang (瀋陽市 / 沈阳市) which has 4 Mio. inhabitants is the biggest city in the North of China and an important centre of industry. Since 2004 the BMW Group is producing cars for the important chinese market.Therefore they also arranged a 3d advertising object from Hahlbrock for the airport.
The Welcome Wall consists of painted and, in some cases, polished GRP moulded parts and measures 5 x 2.76 m. The special feature here is the very elaborately designed rear wall: three TFT monitors, three DVD players, a sound system with flat-panel speakers, and two lightboxes covered with a translite material.
The objekt was carried - subdivided into several boxes - from germany to china in august 2008. The assembly in the arriving hall of the airport was made by two qualified Hahlbrock-employeers with support of some chinese crafts men.
