Driving simulator dome ausgeliefert!

After more than two years of design and production period, the 5.5-ton simulator shell with a diameter of about eight meters has left our industrial premises to be transported to the client Daimler AG in Sindelfingen.

The first section was managed overland from Großenheidorn to the port of Wunstorf-Kolenfeld using a heavy duty transporter in the night of Friday, 26.02.10. For these covered distance of about 14 km the transport took 4 hours by oneself.

Early in the morning then the simulator dome was loaded onto a ship on the Mittelland Canal. Now the precious load is floating along for the next few days to Plochingen am Neckar, and from there it is going once more overland for about 45 km to Sindelfingen.

The transport of the simulator dome had been prepared several months and was supposed to take place in mid of January. Because the Mittelland Canal was frozen solid by the cold winter, however it could delivered only now.
