Welcome Wall Replica — BMW Group
Encouraged by the great enthusiasm shown for its 3-D installation at Munich Airport, BMW ordered replicas of the Welcome Wall from Hahlbrock for its worldwide promotion.
Now you can see them at London´s The O2, at the airport in Athen and in Shenyang (China).
The objects likewise consist of painted and, in some cases, polished GRP moulded parts; they measure 5 x 2.76 m and are therefore almost as big as the original in Munich. The special feature here are the very elaborately designed rear walls: three TFT monitors, three DVD players, sound systems with flat-panel speakers, and two lightboxes covered with a translite material.
The Welcome Wall was carried from germany to england as a singurlar piece, but to greece and china subdivided into several boxes. The assembly at the airport was made by qualified Hahlbrock-employeers.
