Norwegian Cruise Lines — Palm Tree Lights
Palm-shaped lights made by Hahlbrock create festive illumination and cosy atmosphere on the pool decks of several luxury cruisers.

The palm leaves were built as translucent hollow GRP units that were coloured according to the designer’s specification. The Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) method made it possible to achieve very smooth surfaces on both sides while the mould shaping for the GRP units, the manufacturing of the high-grade steel components, and the trimming of the edges was effected in a consistent CAD/CAM context. It is possible to replace the lamp modules very rapidly and without having to disassemble the palm leaves.
